Body Technician

  • Basic Duties

    • Assess vehicle damage: Diagnose the extent of collision damage, including dents, scratches, and frame misalignment.
    • Perform diagnostic operations: Ensure all scans and calibrations are completed per the OEM guidelines. 
    • Repair & replace body panels: Fix dents, weld cracks, and replace severely damaged exterior parts.
    • Ensure repair integrity & quality: Restore the vehicle to manufacturer specifications for safety.
  • Basic Skillset

    • Metalworking skills: Welding Certifications Required
    • Attention to detail: A keen eye is crucial for spotting even minor imperfections and ensuring a perfect final product.
    • Ability to follow procedures: Understanding and adhering to safety protocols and repair guidelines keeps everyone safe and jobs on track.

Paint Technician

  • Basic Duties

    • Surface Preparation: Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying appropriate primers. 
    • Color Matching: Mix paints to match vehicle colors precisely, using color matching equipment and techniques.
    • Paint Application: Apply paint coatings using spray guns, ensuring even coverage and smooth finishes. 
    • Quality Control: Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards, inclduing color accuracy, adhesion, and texture. 
  • Basic Skillset

    • Paint Mixing and Matching: Ability to accurately mix and match paint colors using color matching equipment and techniques
    • Surface Preparation: Proficiency in preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking
    • Paint Application Techniques: Skill in applying paing coatings evenly and smoothly using spray guns, ensuring proper coverage and finish. 

Estimator

  • Basic Duties

    • Inspect damaged vehicles: You'll be the detective, thoroughly examining car exteriors, interiors, and sometimes even undercarriages to assess all the collision damage.
    • Write detailed estimates: Translate that damage into a clear, concise report outlining the parts, labor, and time needed to bring the car back to pre-accident condition.
    • Communicate effectively: Be the bridge between customers, insurance companies, and technicians, clearly explaining the repair process, timeline, and costs.
    • Negotiate estimates: Collaborate with all parties to reach a fair and accurate repair plan that fits everyone's needs.
    • Stay up-to-date: Continuously learn about new industry standards, repair techniques, and parts pricing to ensure your estimates stay sharp.
  • Basic Skillset

    • Excellent attention to detail: You'll meticulously examine vehicles to identify all damage, ensuring accurate repair estimates.
    • Strong communication skills: Clearly explain repairs to customers, answer questions, and build trust throughout the process.
    • Proficiency in CCC ONE estimating software: Mastering industry-standard software helps create detailed and efficient repair cost breakdowns.
    • Customer service focus: Provide a positive experience for customers during a stressful time, fostering loyalty to the shop.
    • Understanding of collision repair: Knowing common repair procedures allows you to accurately assess labor needs and parts costs.
